How Sharing Gratitudes shapes your reality.

Have you ever considered gratitude to be an exercise?

I didn’t at first and didn’t know it was a thing. But as I read more and more personal development and psychology books, yes…it is a practice.

So, as part of my daily grind, this became one of my Daily Tactics. This is a practice dedicated to recognizing the people, things or events in our everyday lives that we are grateful for.

Sharing Gratitudes is what I call writing in my gratitude journal. This is just me making it sound fancy and fun. It is taking a moment for yourself to notice and become more aware of how truly amazing your life is.

For me, when I fail to recognize my blessings, I notice it is much easier to get caught up in my own mind dramas. That is why at minimum, I take the time to write at least one thing a day in my journal. But typically, I have more to write about than just one thing.

WRITE YOUR HEART OUT..

It sounds silly, but sometimes we have to see it written down. Just like when you are planning your goals, you write them down. It makes them more solid and allows you to see them later for reflections.

Writing in a gratitude journal is not any different. It establishes a connection to your positive thoughts and brings you a sense of awareness.

For me, that sense of awareness helps keep me grounded and aligned with myself. This Daily Tactic has helped me become more optimistic and to have a positive outlook towards life. Even in those “$h1t happens” moments it has helped me shape my reality.

Look, I would be lying if I said that practicing gratitude has made me invincible to life’s challenges and shields me against world. It may not have stamped an “S” on my chest like Superman, but I can say it has helped me walk away like a superhero through difficult situations with a big fat smile.

Just remember this…

If you can’t remember anything else I said above. AT LEAST, remember this little saying..

If you don’t take time to see what you are grateful for now; then you will always be chasing after an ungrateful future.

Life is about being curious and open minded. Check out the research about the positive impacts that gratitude can bring into your life. As for me, it has kept me grounded and has laid a foundation of optimism towards life.
